Cor Unum

The Dutch manufacturer 'COR UNUM' is known as one of the leading examples in ceramic design. Especially for its intensive collaboration with well known designers and architects. But also because of its production team: about twenty disabled people are taking care for the ceramics, adding even more value to the name of the company:
COR UNUM [Latin for 'one heart'].

At the VIVID exhibition famous vases of Ron Arad, Gijs Bakker, Ettore Sottsass, Ben van Berkel and NLarchitects can be admired, as well as fresh stuff by JKN/ Jan Broekstra, Simone van Bakel, Ben Oostrum and new tableware by Piet Stockmans. There will be a mural by Sigmund de Jong, a Rotterdam based artist.

With this exhibition VIVID wants to demonstrate the active and stimulating role a manufacturer can play in the design territory today. The practice of COR UNUM and its powerful products are a striking example.
