With the intension of showing Dutch design to the world, Gijs Bakker, and Renny Ramakers formed DROOG Design in Amsterdam in 1993. Their design is not that of form, but of concept. "No decoration without meaning","There must be a definite concept", "Simplicity holds many ideas" are theorems consistently incorporated in their work, which is already part of many collections such as that of MoMA. They represent a new, clear direction in the design world which is becoming known as "non-design".
