design is organizing an exhibition in co-operation with Designlink from
January 20th till March 10th 2002:
Industrial Design 2001
The best industrial designs of 2001
1986 the acknowledgement 'Good Industrial Design' is awarded in the Netherlands.
It is not really a price but more a quality label for good craftsmanship.
The organization Designlink has composed an independent jury that judged
158 products for 2001. The evaluation was based on a variety of professional
design standards like technical functionality, safety, ergonomics, originality,
innovation, design and respect for the environment.
The Philips Senseo Crema coffee machine, new developed grass for the Arena-stadium
in Amsterdam, a hand saw, and more than a hundred other products received
the label of Good Industrial Design in 2001.
VIVID design has made a selection of 25 products that can be seen in Rotterdam.
The VIVID exhibition space will be transformed by WAAC's, the designers
of the Senseo Crema coffee machine.
